A recent public survey has suggested that Ed Miliband may be unelectable, and that the Labour party would have been better off picking his brother David.
In a detailed online poll to random members of the public, voters were asked which adjective they would use to described Ed Miliband. 54% of respondents used a variation on "ferret-faced" or "ferrety". 30% used offensive words to describe his appearance and/or voice. Of the remaining 16%, about half said something vague, and the rest had mostly positive things to say, largely about his pro-union views.
A similar telephone poll by the same company was conducted to compare the two Miliband brothers. The telephonees were shown pictures of the brothers over the phone and asked who they thought was more trustworthy and why. Over 60% described David as more "normal looking", and Ed as being a "freaky half-ferret half-badger whiner".
