A top MI6 operative has leaked the sad news that they believe Peter Mandelson has disappeared. He also revealed he believes the disappearance to be Iguana Secret related.
Peter Mandelson was last seen on Tuesday night whilst taking his dog for a walk along the Thames Embankment, right under the London Eye, across the river from the Houses of Parliament.
Hours later his little dog was found walking alone with a terrified expression on his face. This expression was in keeping with other expressions that had been seen before on the faces of the abandoned dogs of the Iguana's victims. Apparently the Iguana doesn't eat dogs, only people.
Peter Mandelson is believed to have ignored a warning from David Miliband that the weather had turned Autumnal, and that those were the perfect hunting conditions of the giant creature who has come to be known as the Monster of the Thames. The 24 foot iguana has only ever been glimpsed before through a veil of thick fog and is believed only to come out on nights when he can hunt without risk of revelation.
He is believed to have eaten many people over the years and Peter Mandelson is just the last in a long line of victims. MI6, however, have had a disturbing break through of late into the nature of the Iguana's hunting routine.
The last time the Iguana was seen in public he appeared to be on a lead, led by a figure with a recognisable silhouette through the fog. The terrified witness who saw the pair on that terrible night, said he thought he recognised the Iguana's owner but couldn't be absolutely certain who it was.
The witness did tell MI6 who they believed the Iguana's owner to be, but it was so unbelievable that this person would want to own a pet who ate people, they dismissed the information as highly dubious and not worthy of investigation.
But now, with the disappearance of Peter Mandelson, a well known enemy of this public figure, the case has been re-opened. MI6 have not revealed publicly the disappearance of Peter Mandelson because they believe it might cause panic in Old London Town. If the Iguana can eat Mandy, then no one is safe.
But unofficially, MI6 have decided to keep their suspect under surveillance. They have decided not to do a dawn raid on his Smart London Town House, however, because the house may be guarded by a very big Iguana.
