Conspiracy theory litigants reckoned they were onto a megabux winner with Wakefield's crackpot theories

London - (Toxic Ass Mess): The former immunologist and his eminent sidekick Professor John Walker-Smith have been struck off by the GMC.

The professional regulator found the pair guilty of gross professional misconduct in a classic smoke 'n' mirrors medical scam.

Faking a lot of clinical data from blood samples harvested from unsuspecting tots at a kiddies' birthday party was ruled seriously bad.

Secretly getting paid £50,000 by Legal Aid to act for hysteric conspiracy theory parents of autistic children involved in a megabux compensation scam was also ruled totally offside.

The GMC heard how the litigants had hired Wakefield in the crackpot belief his research linking the MMR jab and autism would result in billions of pounds compensation.

No clinical evidence has ever established a causative link - despite claimants' vociferous outrage.

The ensuing controversy sparked by Wakefield's malpractice resulted in a massive nationwide drop in MMR jab uptake and a near measles, mumps and rubella pandemic.

The GMC earlier heard evidence that Wakefield hoped to develop a serum from lactating goats which would replace the MMR vaccine 'and make him rich beyond his widlest dreams.'

That research also bombed.

Some Royal Freak ex-colleagues who turned over data to the GMC were exonerated today.

Wakefield remains bullish about a comeback and is hpoing to secure a $$$s movie deal to promote his appeal.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
