Les Bean wants to change his name which he has had trouble with since the day he started school, can you imagine what poor Les had to put up with, he even recalls teachers laughing uncontrollably when they took the morning register and called out his name Les Bean.
In the school playground he was bullied and laughed at and ended up with no friends because of his name which he blames on all his problems.
He left school with no qualifications, but could not find work, as every time he went for a job, the interviewer, could not conduct the interview because they could not stop laughing
at his name.
Les has now changed his Christian name to Hugh, and now has a job, and lots of friends, but he can't understand why when he is out for a drink with friends, they laugh when he comes back from the toilet as they say Hugh Bean.
