Celebrity John Leslie is making headlines again and this time for all the wrong reasons.

The former Blue Peter presenter woke up this morning to find reporters camped out in front of his door step.

Leslie, who had gone out to get the milk in a pair of fetching blue and white striped pyjamas, ignored questions before disappearing back inside his luxury townhouse.

The Scot is being questioned by Scotland Yard over a Blue Peter badge that went missing from the BBC, in 1978.

They decided to reopen the case after it appeared for sale on Ebay, with a starting price of just 99p.

Leslie said through the letterbox, "I was 19 years old in 1978. Why would I want a stupid Blue Peter badge?"

This is not the first time Leslie has been in trouble with the police.

He was questioned in 1981, over claims he defaced Blue Peter property.

The investigation centred around the Blue Peter tortoise Fred who had complained that someone had written his name "FRED" across his shell with white Dulux paint.

A police spokesperson said, "The brand of paint is unimportant. Fortunately it was non drip."

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
