Episode 13 - Manuel's Granddaughter And The BBC 2

The recent screening of a documentary film to mark the 30th anniversary of Fawlty Towers may well have brought together cast members in celebration of a work of comedic genius, but the mystery surrounding the existence of a 13th script refuses to go away.

Only 12 episodes of the show were ever filmed, but rumours persist to this day of a 13th script penned by John Cleese and co-writer Connie Booth. The mysterious 13th script is the most sought after artefact in the world today, despite there being little or no evidence pointing to its actual existence.

Everard Winklehead, President of The Fawlty Towers Appreciation Society told us:

"Even Cleese and Booth will deny it, but members of our group are convinced that a 13th episode script exists. Our investigations lead us to believe that it was placed in a jar, in a cave by the Dead Sea, put there by Cleese when he was filming Life Of Brian. We'll find it one day. You'll see. And you'll be laughing on the other side of your face then you bastard!"

Connie Booth, now 65, and not as tasty as she was back in the day, told us:

"There is no 13th script. We didn't do one. Simple as that."

Co-writer Cleese was somewhat more forthright, telling us:

"Oh do fuck off with that mysterious 13th script bollocks!"

More as we get it.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
