Gordon Broon has announced that members of the government are to house asylum seekers. Geoff Hoon, Jaqui Smith, Harry Cohen and that McNulty feller who nobody really knows have been asked to help. It is believed that the shortage of housing is yet to affect the government.
One insider said "They have plenty of room available so it seemed like a good choice. Obviously they are going to claim expenses for this, but it should be possible to fool everybody and get away with lots of cash."
Recent allegations of financial irregularities have dogged the government. A new policy initiative is just what is needed to distract the electorate. It is also hoped that asylum seekers will think twice before heading to the UK if there is a chance they might end up on a caravan holiday with Margaret Beckett.
