The Chancellor of the Exchequer today proved that he is in fact much worse than we first thought. At a time when the world is gripped with financial crisis and things are expected to get worse Darling responded by saying "It's worse than I thought".
This remark has confirmed what we all feared. Darling really is worse than we first thought. He is a complete disaster. The economy is unlikely to show any signs of recovery until Darling is removed from the picture.
Leading economist John Cole of the Nova Mews Financial Research Bureau said "Darling is a disaster. There is no confidence in Darling. He will not improve. He really is worse than we thought."
Darling was asked to comment. "It really is bad. A complete disaster. Don't ask me to sort it out."
