"Oh Lord. Bless this hand grenade, that with it thou mayest blow thine enemies to tiny bits, in thy mercy."

London - (Holy Ass Mess): A Monty Python & the Holy Grail film prop, left over 30 years ago under a fire hydrant cover in Shoreditch, East London, spoofed London's bomb disposal cops and caused thousands of office workers to be evacuated today.

The Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch - a lethal weapon used to slaughter a killer rabbit in the 1975 movie - scared the living daylights out of workmen who dialled 999 in the belief that the Real Ira had made yet another comeback.

Windmill pub landlord Alberto Romanelli told reporters that it took over an hour for specialist MoD weapons experts to decide the grenade was a spoof.

In the meantime COBRA had already assembled in Downing Street and UK Prime Monster had put the UK on DefCon2 setting.

Brigadier Sunny Smiley Jones is feeling as sick as a parrot.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
