Snow is white.

The small village of Leigh near Tonbridge in Kent has officially become the snowiest place in Britain. The community is suffering under a staggering 17 foot of snow, the most since the last ice age

The village was hit by a massive snowstorm last night which lasted some 72 hours. Old Mrs Jones said "It just fell out of the sky." There are reports that women and children are stuck inside their homes with the heating fully on and a hot roast dinner in the oven.

There was concern amongst the village elders that the famous cricket pitch would suffer under the snow and so a team of brave villagers began the task of clearing the wicket. The snow was taken to the church where it was stored for safe keeping.

There was outrage amongst the WI when their coffee morning was cancelled for the first time since the second world war. A spokesman said "I'm outraged."

An aid flight has already dropped a large box of Mars bars to the stranded village which has now been cut off for at least 2 hours. There are plans for a national appeal on the BBC in order to raise money for crisps and donuts to be ferried in.

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
