City Hole - (Pie-in-the-Sky Mess): "A phenomenal portent!" is how London Mayor Boris Johnson described the US Airways Hudson crash landing as he regaled a London press conference about his prophetic mayoral dream of 'planes landing over water'.
Johnson is in jubilant mood that his Thames Estuary Airport vision is clearly vindicated after seeing TV pictures of New York pilot hero Chesley B Sullenberger III's Miracle on the Hudson in New York.
"Not that any aircraft will ever crash in my new Estuary airport, you understand," he added, "oh no. At least certainly not on my watch."
Meanwhile in Hollywood studio bosses are lining up to snap up Captain Sullengerber's life story amid reports of a $100 million movie deal race.
Reports that the new film will be a 'grown up version' of the 1980 box office hit favorite Airplane!s have not been entirely dismissed.
