A father and his two young sons were injured yesterday when the Scalextric cars they were driving collided and skidded off the track they were playing on at their Lancashire home.
David Detritus, 32, and his sons, Ben, 6, and Toby, 4, were racing around the track in their living room in Manchester, when Dad's Ferrari F430 GT2 took a sharp corner rather too quickly, lost control of his vehicle, and spun it into the path of Ben's oncoming Porsche 997 GT3.
Both cars left the track, with one hitting Ben's knee, and the other spinning along the carpet, straight over little Toby's outstretched fingers, and then ploughed into Dad's foot, slightly hurting him.
Mum was called from the kitchen, and administered loves, hugs and kisses for the two boys, and a loving little smile for Dad.
Later, Mum and Dad Detritus went upstairs for a crafty bonk.
