A list of Labour and Liberal Democrat councillors in York and North Yorkshire has leaked out - and the furious members say they have those responsible in their sights.
Details of 38 people with affiliations to the controversial parties who live in the region are among the names posted on a council website - in most cases complete with their addresses, postcodes, email details and telephone numbers.
The list shows that the Lib-Dems and Labour, heavily criticised in many quarters for their corruption, incompetence and self-serving arrogance, have councillors across York - including Acomb, Holgate, Heworth and Strensall.
They include the owner of a PR firm, a composer, a bin-man, a ginger woman and a fat man - one of whom looks disturbingly like a pig.
The regional membership list, which has been leaked to Rust Never Sleeps, also shows that one of the councillors is an animal rights activist.
Now the Campaign to Respect All Pigs (CRAP) says it will investigate the case of the pig whose name was included on the list - which could, if they are proved to still be a member of the Lib-Dems, lead to them facing disciplinary action and even slaughter.
"The CRAP is very clear on this issue - we take allegations of being a Liberal Democrat very seriously and have a zero tolerance policy of those who hold such pointless views," said a spokesman.
"When being recruited externally or applying for transfer or promotion, pigs are asked to state categorically that they do not belong to the Labour Party, Liberal-Democrats, YAFA, or any other group or organisation promoting extremism and corruption.
"Membership of such organisations is entirely incompatible with being a pig, and if it is confirmed that a member of CRAP belongs to one of them, they will be subject to our disciplinary procedures. We have slaughtered and cooked a number of pigs in the past and were the first animal sector employer to ban pigs from being members of vegetarian/vegan organisations.
"If we receive information indicating that a pig is a member of a proscribed organisation, these claims would be investigated and the appropriate action taken."
Cllr. Jim Sandy said that being named on the list was "a serious blow" to his future prospects.
"Underneath the false face of supporting the ordinary person we are a very nasty party which blames all the ills of the world on those who are not like us", he said.
"I think the disclosure of these membership lists is a serious blow to the Labour Party and this will seriously undermine our attempts to gain a Yorkshire seat in the European Parliament."
