Chancellor Alistair, Darling has today unveiled the government's latest plan which he says is needed to save the UK from a deep and long-lasting recession - he will invest more government money on the National Lottery.
The National Lottery, says Darling, is an extreme gamble, with the chances of scooping the jackpot first prize currently 14million to 1, but it's being viewed as less of a gamble than many of Labour's other options.
Typical recent jackpots have been around the £4million mark, and with all the country's reserves at his disposal, Mr Darling may well feel that the odds are in his favour.
Mr Drawmaster, are we ready?
