Recent attention given to "Fawlty Towers" star Andrew Sachs, (78) has uncovered his "close" friendship with recently retired chat show host Michael Parkinson (73).

Parky's agent, father of three Andrew Neville-West,in an obvious attempt to hide the truth claimed to be a frequenter of "The Cottage" and issued a "strong rebuttal" of any inappropriate relationship, pointing out, somewhat fancifully, that "The Cottage" was in fact a local pub close to the couples' homes, and that "Bowling" was in truth Crown green bowling on the green adjacent to the pub.
