Buckingham Palace has been penetrated by an impostor, less than 24 hours after a similar security alert at Windsor Castle.
A middle aged woman gained entry to the royal residence dressed as Her Royal Highness in a lilac twin set, grey perm wig and tiara.
According to police reports the intruder spent two hours in the building before her lack of etiquette gave her away.
Palace butler Richard Le Vivre said "I knew it wasn't Her Majesty when she picked up the wrong fork with which to eat her caviar".
Nothing appears to have been stolen from the Palace, and it is thought the woman could simply have done it for a wager. She is currently being held at Scotland Yard Torture Chambers for interrogation.
Although the ridiculous lapse in security is being investigated, initial evidence suggests the charlatan walked in with Prince Philip.
