The BBC has been fined 1.4 million pounds after it emerged that they have been recycling the news since at least 1997.
Reports of these illegal shenanigans arose when rival executives of ITV became exasperated by what they saw as 'lazy journalism' and they contacted media watchdogs to disclose their findings.
Amongst the stories, four in particular have appeared at least twice since 1997.
These being in no discerning order, the death of Diana, the woeful performance of Tim Henman, the Liberal Party being shit and the conflict in the Middle East.
Any of these programmes for example, are relevant and have stood the passages of time.
The BBC defended its actions citing that ITV was nit picking and should go back to phone rigging and besides, they (BBC) were in fact doing their bit for the environment and monitoring their carbon footprint by recycling the news which are to the likes of us, in fact, repeats.
