London - (Holy Grail Mess): Sordid Arabia's former ambassador to the USA Prince Bandar is believed to be the financial genius behind a UK recruitment campaign to resurrect the Knights Templar papal military order.

A series of press adverts has appeared this week linked to a website that offers 'all the fabled glamor and mystical appeal of gaily-colored uniforms, genuine replica swords and armory, twice-yearly visits to the Holy Land and guaranteed salvation in the after-life.'

Omen-watchers at the UK's Hellfire Club believe this is the first visible sign of a stealth rapprochement between the Vatican and Sordid Arabia following months of gruelling talks about the conversion to Catholicism of the desert kingdom's Ibn Saud ruling family.

Last year both Prince Bandar and Pope Joseph Ratzinger announced genealogical roots to Saladin, the Kurdish 12th century Sultan of Egypt and Syria born in Tikrit - the birthplace of ex-Iraqi tyrant Saddam Hussain.

Saladin famously founded the Ayyubid dynasty which had fiefdom over Middle Eastern countries such as Egypt, Syria, Iraq, Hejaz - now part of modern Sordid Arabia - and Yemen.

Under his command Muslim armies recaptured Jerusalem in October 1187.

He was eventually defeated by crusading hero King Richard The Lionheart of England at the Battle of Arsuf on September 7, 1191.

This week's Knights Templar campaign has been bankrolled by Bandar's official UK representative the Opus Dei toerag Anthony Bailey, Grand Vizier of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of St George Bush.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
