Archbishop of Canterbury praises Scientology for money

The Archbishop of Canterbury has made another controversial statement, saying that we all have a lot to learn from the Church of Scientology. "I believe the media give this organisation a hard time, and it is only a matter of time before its central themes become part of UK law." Dr Williams told a packed mosque in East London

Every news channel, radio station and newspaper carried the story giving the followers of L Ron Hubbard's "religion" vast amounts of publicity. It was only when the Archbishop - clearly identifiable in his mitre - was caught accepting money from Tom Cruise behind Canterbury Cathedral that all was explained.

"Ok, I admit it. The church needed the money. We have had a hole in the roof for weeks now. Tom came up to me a couple of days ago and suggested that if I said a couple of words in favour of this Scientology thing, they'd pay for the works."

Williams, the symbolic head of the worldwide Anglican communion told this website: "I mean it didn't seem anything more foolish than what I said about Sharia law - and I didn't get paid for that."

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
