London - (ReUterus & Ass Mess): Doctors should have the right to remove people's organs according to Britain's top medical adviser.
Sir Liam Donaldson has called for the law to be changed to introduce a system of organ removal that presumes consent.
"We need to change from the current system that imples people want to carry on keeping their organs," Sir Liam said today.
Around 400 people die each year because of organs and new EU regulations are making things worse.
However changing the law could prove controversial because some people might criticise the state's new powers over organs.
The British Medical Association recently said that each year, many people die because of organs.
"Church organs are the worst of course.
"We'd like to see the law chaned to compulsory organ removal because some of these ecclesiastical organs are just so daft."
Dr Vivian Nathanson, BMA head of science and ethics, has said Britons are becoming ready to accept changes.
"We are now getting close to a system of presumed consent."
