It's how he would have wanted to be remembered

A council worker who broke into a home in the Meanwood area of Leeds to claim unpaid rent arrears from the tenant living there, discovered the skeleton of Mr Jonathan Doe lying in bed.

Mr Doe had been a resident at the property for more than fifty years, and had 'close ties' with the community. Neighbours had cut his grass, thinking he had gone away, and one 'friend' had continued to pay his newsagent's bill for the delivery of a weekly magazine.

Police said that Mr Doe, a Leeds United fan, had died peacefully in his sleep, and had been dead "for some time". A police spokesman added that the council had been trying to evict him from the property for the last two years for non-payment of rent amounting to £9,000.

Mr Doe's skeleton was thrown into a wheelie bin for collection on Monday.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
