Conspiracy theories are appearing already concerning the fate of Saddam Hussein.
A story doing the rounds on the internet says that he has, this afternoon, been seen manning the drive-thru window at McDonalds Peterborough.
Brian Boogaloo told our reporter:
"Yes it's true. We'd been doing shopping and the kids fancied a happy meal so we pulled into the drive-thru. I placed my order but couldn't remember where I'd seen the bloke taking the order before.
Then when I got home it came to me. It was Saddam and he was doing a bloomin' good job too. He seemed to have the hang of it all right and we got our food double quick"
Brian went on to add:
"Well done McDonalds for employing an ex-con. It just shows that these former dictators will turn their hand to anything given a chance. Pity old Pinochet pegged out or I'm sure he would have done a damn good job too!"
When we suggested that Brian was perhaps mistaken he said:
"I know what I saw. It was him all right. No doubt"
