Gary Johnson, a camera fan and aspiring professional photographer has slowly realised that fifteen years into his hobby, and after spending more than £5,000 on equipment he really isn’t that good.
‘Imagine my relief’ said the deluded fool ‘that having made the decision to quit photography, even though everyone has been telling me to for years, I can give on yet another dream, for the sake of a quiet life. Instead of seeking to make money from it, I can enjoy it for what it is, owning expensive equipment I can’t really afford to keep’
Johnson’s wife Melinda said ‘Thank God for that. He takes some photos as a twenty year old student, and automatically thinks he is David Bailey, or Patrick Lichfield. It is like that time he wanted to be cassanova. He thought I stopped him because I would be jealous of his success. I just wanted to save other people from going through what I have to go through every Thursday night’.
