The huge sculptures in Leeds resembling pregnant nude women with enormous bottoms are the result of the notoriously incomprehensible sculptor not being fitted with the correct spectacles, a spokesperson for Specsavers claimed this morning.
"If you look through incorrectly prescribed glasses and perhaps have had too many bottles of wine, you will probably end up sculpting things like these instead of ordinary female figures. You could always pretend that they mean something or enter them for the Turner Prize for conceptual art though", said an optical art critic today. Some art critics say that the sculptures are ill conceived examples of the Peurile school of Post Modernist Con Art.
