The new tourist information centre in Gateshead has recorded another visit this week.
"We only opened this new tourism centre in the Town Hall three months ago," said Cawlin Anavaluck, Gateshead's councillor for tourism. "And already we've had two visits."
However, both visits were made by the same person - Evelyn Worr - an avid reader of classics.
Mrs Worr, of Surrey, came up north twice because she "wanted to re-visit Brideshead," which she thought was near Gateshead.
"The tourist information officer helpfully directed me to the Bride's Head pub in the town centre, said Mrs Worr. "But it wasn't what I expected. I shan't be coming again."
Nevertheless, Gateshead council are delighted that visits to the new centre have doubled in the last three months, and are hoping to employ three more information officers at the tourist centre.
"Some of the regular staff keep getting lost on the way here," said Mr Anavaluck.
