A Long Sutton hairstylist will have to wait at least another six weeks before she gets a decision regarding her application for an extension to her license to provide hair extensions.
Eva Longstrand, who specializes in extra-long hair extensions, also wants to extend her business into nearby Far Sutton, which is ruled by a different parish council.
"This is somewhat of a precedent," declared bald-headed Council chairman Norman Wiggless. "We have no previous experience of hair-extensionists wanting to extend their premises. She'll have to wait a bit longer. We've been asked to extend the licensing hours of several pubs first. We'll need full attendance at these crucial council meetings, so we might have to have the committee table in the council room extended."
"It's far too long to have to wait," complained Ms Longstrand. "I'm not going to sit around twiddling my hair all day while they keep dragging out this decision about my extension applications."
Local builder Fred Dovetail recognizes her frustration. "I've been waiting ages for them to consider my claim for compensation when I broke my leg falling off their extension ladders at the Town Hall. And that cheeky bugger Norman Wiggless wants me to build him a loft extension at his house. Well - he's got a long wait coming!"
