"Has anyone got reception?"

A computer glitch on a train ticket booking website has seen thousands of rail travellers snap up space travel tickets at knockdown prices.

Due to planned engineering work, most travellers had expected to spend Easter at a bus stop in Crewe or Banbury but ecstatic passengers have instead packed their toothbrush for exotic destinations such as Mars, Bounty and the funky sounding "Edge of Time"

"I got a window seat for £13.50 going to Venus. I'm taking factor 30 sun block because I'm quite fair skinned." said one lucky customer.

"I can't believe it's cheaper to Galaxy B3103-A than a single to Barnsley. I am a bit apprehensive about being cryogenically frozen for 5,000yrs for the journey, but Richard said if we get a good speed up we can get back to 1976 and save Alderan!"

Virgin have apologised to VIP customers who paid the full £140,000 for their trip and promised them a private world under the sea.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
