Spoof hoaxer Jack Weirdo has confessed in a Tweet that he has fooled the editor of the Spoof with articles that are untrue.
'I've been doing it for years' confessed an repentant Jack 'the editor believed everything. Once he had accepted me as an honest upstanding member of society I could write practically anything and he would publish it! It's a real Joke!!'
Worried higher echelons at the Spoof organised a hurried press conference as a damage limitation exercise.
'Our integrity is undiminished' said Editor in Chief Charlie Wheeze 'we accepted Weirdo's word that everything he wrote was true. It was a good laugh, but now it must come to an end. Spoof readers can be assured that Weirdo will not blemish our title any more.'
However, undercover agents have discovered that Weirdo has hatched a cunning plan to fool the Spoof yet again! He is changing his name to Joe Wilt and is confident that this will fool Spoof editors into publishing his inexact statements.
