World renowned Bermondsey cats and dogs home has been rescued at the last minute from certain bankruptcy, after huge debts would have closed the centre within weeks and that would have meant certain death for all the animal residents.

Luckily, the home has been saved by the kindness of two Korean businessmen who own two of the main restaurant chains in their native country. Kim Ok Wok Kim 54, and Owk Wok Kim Kok 73, flew into London yesterday to put pen to paper and asked straight away to see the animals. This obvious interest and kindness is a joy to hear about in these difficult times and makes you even consider liking the human race.

One of the kennel maids, who was present when the two Koreans visited, was asked afterwards what her impressions of the new owners were. Jenny Scratchkill 19, who wished not to be named said,

"Oh, they were very nice, as soon as they saw the dogs one started picking them up and the other was writing something down, it's nice to see that they're going to be hands on right from the start "

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
