The controversy surrounding the world football's ruling body FIFA deepened with the news that 2 executive board members are facing further charges.
Vice President Jack Warner, President of the Caribbean Football Association, is already facing charges that he offered "unethical inducements" during the bidding race for the 2018 World Cup.
A new, more serious charge has now emerged namely one of "impersonating a British TV icon from the 60's". The original Jack Warner was a famous actor in the 40's and 50's but is best remembered for his role as PC Dixon in the long running BBC series "Dixon Of Dock Green".
The FIFA VP Warner is accused of using the reputation and good name built up by the British actor to his own ends and unfairly garnishing support from the older White Anglo Saxon vote in the Association.
Meanwhile, Chuck Blazer is facing a charge of "undermining the credibility and gravity of FIFA by having a patently stupid name".
