That rumor you have been hearing apparently could be true that the New York Yankees will be trading star slugger Alex Rodriquiz to the Los Angeles Angels for 7-foot pitcher Loek van Mil who has the hot stove league abuzz early this year.
"Van Mil is awesome", stated one Angel teammate who has seen him pitch. If you think that Randy Johnson is intimidating, wait to you see this guy."
An insider for the Yankees stated that he only considered it a rumor but that "something is definitely going on around here. The owners are pretty tight-lipped as they study the proposals going on and there are many."
Another Yankee slugger, Mark Teixeira is also being mentioned as it could well be that a Teixeira could be the player offered. However, Mark has a no-trade agreement with the Yankees..but money can change all that.
"I hadn't heard that one", stated Teixeira. "I have heard that I was offered to the Cardinals in exchange for Albert Pujols but I think the Yankees want young pitchers. There's another great prospect with the Chicago White Sox being discussed. Of course, all combinations of these are going around also, about a three team deal."
Meanwhile, slugger Alex Rodriquiz wasn't around for an interview but his agent told us that "Anything" can happen in baseball.
"At this time of year, it's hard to locate Alex", he explained. "You'd have better luck asking Madonna or any of the other ladies about town."
