Springfield, Mass. -- Peter King announced that he has a giant man-crush on Brett Favre, and that this crush has limited his objectivity when it comes to reporting about Favre.
"When the text message scandal came out, and I didn't criticize Favre like I criticized Big Ben for poor behavior off the field, I received a lot of fan mail calling me out for my blunder, okay, my wife gave me a hard time at breakfast." Peter King said in his Monday Morning Quarterback column.
"Favre has been good for my career, because his flip flopping has allowed me to look like a football insider; however, I didn't really know anything about Favre's situation. I just really admired the way he played and plays, and this came off as real insider information.
"It isn't like I am a good reporter or really know anything more than the common football fan knows, but I still have to thank Favre for making me who I am." Peter King added.
Peter King isn't the only person to have a man-crush on Favre, just tune into ESPN and listen to their male announcers talk about Favre like he won every Supper Bowl since he entered the league, or how every interception he throws is just Favre being willing to make the tough choices.
