Paris, France - French Open unOfficials at Roland Garros are concerned about a perplexing problem that is currently befuddling their grounds crew. Jean Luc Deville,head grounds keeper, who is normally known for his elegant blue pin stripe suits, has recently taken to dressing as a circus clown while on duty.
Says a totally unreliable source on condition of anonymity, "Something is causing all who come here to develop...circus impulses. Several tennis players who practiced here recently have been caught sneaking into the Paris Circ Du Solei, not as spectators, but fully outfitted to perform!"
Rafael Nadal's management group has tentatively said that Rafa is concerned about the 2010 French Open. "We just can't have the world's premier clay court player wanting to put on a clown nose and Rafa just doesn't frolic."
French Open unofficials have promised to work around the clock just as soon as they can get their grounds crew to take the problem seriously. "The issue is our head grounds keeper and his other helpers are more interested in juggling now! It really is quite frustrating, though they are quite good, I must admit," said an unofficial.
