Rome, Italy. In breaking news, the grandson of Benito Mussolini, the infamous Fascist dictator of the 1930s and 40s, has been signed to play quarterback for the Cardinals in the NFL.
Dario Mussolini, aged 26, will play three seasons with the top ranking side and earn in excess of 3 million US dollars for his efforts. Dario has never played grid iron in his life but pundits are convinced the 5'10" sportsman will succeed in his new role.
However, certain individuals are questioning his motivation for accepting a contract with the NFL club. It is being claimed that Mussolini is building a profile that ultimately will take him to the top of Italian politics and even become the next "Il Duce". Former teammates of Mussolini say that his dresser is daubed with pictures of his late grandfather and that on occasions he would recite old speeches made by the former dictator.
"We are scared" declared one Rome sportsman, "that he will use his profile to re-erect the one party state that caused horror and mayhem for our country."
Time will only tell.
