Teenage British Olympic diver Tom Daley is in hot water with his mum over the terrible state of his bedroom.
Tom has been away with the British squad in Beijing for the last month, and, according to mum Debbie:
"left his room in a right state!"
She moaned:
"Clothes were left on his bed, under it and some clean washing was left in a pile on a chair. Books and magazines were scattered on the floor, a CD was still in the stereo, and bits of paper, fluff and dust were in evidence on the carpet and all along the window sill. It's a shambles!"
Experts, however, say it's normal for teenage boys to be a bit untidy, and that his mum should take into consideration that her son was away representing his country, and trying to win a gold medal at the Olympics.
Next-door-neighbour, Betty Crapp, 65, said:
"He's a lovely lad, is Tom. All boys of his age are like that, aren't they? Mind you, I've seen him through the window, up there 'reading' his mucky mags! Tinker!"
