SAN FRANCISCO (Lumberg) - Actor Charlton Heston mocked Barry Bonds on Saturday, announcing that the San Francisco Giants hitter can have Hank Aaron's career home run record only by prying it "from my cold, dead hands".
Despite suffering from Alzheimer's disease, Mr. Heston does seem to grasp that Bonds currently stands only one home run away from tying Aaron's feat -- one of the most significant records in Major League Baseball (a sport that heavily favors the importance of statistics).
Possessing a huge sense for the dramatic, Heston continued: "I invite Barry Bonds to come over to my house, where I will summarily kick his ass all the way to Timbuktu!"
