It has been revealed today that Athenian Olympic Officials have made a blunder over their chosen guest sports.
It has long been the tradition for the local organising committee to admit one "guest" sport in the hope of a local victory.
Scanning the list of approved but not admitted sports, the Greeks took the unusual decision to admit a winter sport to the summer Olympiad and Dog Sleighing was chosen.
Many local clubs took up the sport, but the error in translation was not noticed until over five thousand stray dogs "disappeared".
A spokesman for the local donner kebab cartel was not available for comment.
