Lionel Messi, super-star footballer who applies his trade in Spain, Barcelona, to be precise, has many allies in the Spanish Inland Revenue; and they all feel sorry for him!
Exactly how many millions he earns nobody really knows, but tax officers wading their way through his tax returns obviously turned a blind eye or two because after initially finding him guilty of tax evasion, they now have let him off and sentenced his padre instead!
Spanish reporters amazed at the sudden turn-around asked intellectual Lionel how he feels after all the hassle, and here is his answer:
"Yo no se! Mi padre is guilty not mio! Yo soy only a poor Argentinian football player who pays more tax than Cristiano Ronaldo, pero yo soy mucho mejor, entonces, yo soy innocenti, no Cristiano!
Messi then sped off in his Bentley (1 of 5) and left the reporters with only one alternative, to bury the story and turn their attentions to an autonomous Catalonia, which has a connection with Messi, because if Catalonia becomes autonomous and separates from Spain, Messi will be out of a job, muy pobre!
