Former England manager Steve McClaren has left his role as coach of the Dutch club FC Twente the day after holding talks with chairman Joop Munsterman over what the latter called 'language difficulties'.
Munsterman said:
"We can't understand his English."
He went on:
"Dutch people are pretty decent with their English skills, but Mr McClaren seems to think he needs to adapt his accent to one which he deems is reminiscent of some lumbering, slavering forest-dweller on the edge of acute insanity. That's my opinion, anyway."
McClaren was available for comment, but nobody could understand his twisted speak.
"I leave job for reasons of speeching that wasn't understanded. It a shame, but there you go. Football is an amusing old game!"
