Confusion reigned among Manchester United fans throughout this week, as it was revealed that United will be playing a home game this Saturday, which will kick off at 3pm
Robin van Persie is expected to make his full debut at Old Trafford against high flying Fulham as United attempt to put Monday's defeat at Goodison Park behind them.
But that isn't what's confusing the fans.
"A three o clock kick off? On a Saturday?" one fan spluttered. "We aren't used to that. We hardly ever play on a Saturday! It's just not natural."
"It'll be difficult for the team to adjust to such a weird kick off time," another said. "Their body clocks will be all over the place. We aren't a Saturday afternoon team. Saturday morning, maybe, but not Saturday afternoon. We're more of a Sunday afternoon or Monday night outfit. I can see us losing this game on account of the bizarre kick off time."
"It's obviously an FA conspiracy designed to throw us out of sync," another fan fumed. "They just don't want us to win anything. It's a good job we've got people like Howard Webb in our corner or we'd be right up shit creek and no mistake."
More as we get it.
