Hull City are staying down - but who is to blame?

Hull City lost their fourth consecutive competitive league game at the weekend, this time a faltering 2-0 defeat to relegation fodder Coventry City, sparking conspiracy theories that the management at the KC Stadium don't want the Tigers to gain promotion to the Premier League this season.

City, who lost to Southampton, Leicester City and Portsmouth before this latest pathetic reverse, had been in great shape for a play-off spot until very recently, but the dramatic change in fortunes has had tongues a-wagging on Humberside - more than they normally are.

One fan said:

"Fuckin management! They don't want City to go up because they'd come straight back down again - like a fuckin yo-yo!"

Another said the same.

Two other supporterss said the same thing but using different words. They said:

"Bloody management! They don't want City to go up because they'd come straight back down again - like a bloody yo-yo!"

Manager Nick Barmby, who is loved by local housewives who can still remember him when he was a young lad running around in short pants with no arse in them, said:

"What does conspiracy mean?"

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
