The manager of Chelsea FC was sacked this morning after one of his pet snakes escaped its confines, wrapped itself around a young ball boy and squeezed hard, a spokesperson explained.

The snake, a Boa Constrictor, was one of many belonging to the manager Villas Boas who apparently forgot to fix the lid down on the snake tank therefore allowing it to escape.

The child, there on a day out after winning a 'keepy upy' competition, only survived after the hero of the day, Roman Abramovich, wrestled with the snake on the pitch, biting its head off.

Onlookers said: "It was awful watching the kid being squeezed but thanks to the ex KGB operative Abramovich all turned out well."

So now what for the sacked manager? Well, after a set of poor results at Aston Villa it now appears Villas Boas is off to Villa with his Boas.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
