LONDON - A local man, John Simmons, has stated to the press that he will not 'deactivate his MySpace' for the forseeable future.

"After I heard that MySpace was losing hundreds of users a day, I felt kinda sorry for it, you know? I never use it - and never will - because I have a Facebook and a Twitter too, but really nothing much apart from that."

News Corporation, the owners of MySpace, have thanked Simmons for his kindness.

"I have to say," said a spokesman, "the entire News Corp is thankful for the great work of Simmons. That's one commited non-user. If we had lost him, we'd be really upset. OH GOD!" He started sobbing as the ticker behind went down from 23,000 to 9000.

Mark Zuckerberg, in an act of cross-platform alliance, has already 'friended' and 'liked' MySpace on both his own personal MySpace page, and on his Facebook page too.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
