USofA - Even though the findings will come as no surprise to anyone, especially not to Americans, scientists have officially confirmed that so-called "blue blood" is green in color.
"The green color comes from humongous amounts of ill-gotten money that has flowed through the spidery veins of the British royal family for centuries", says researcher John Q. Smith. "Money is green, which explains the green color in their blood. It's definitely not blue."
The study was conducted at the Blood Institute of Greater United States, but many Americans have objected strenuously to wasting more of their tax dollar green on confirming something that was already well known throughout the world.
Bob Simpson of Omaha, Nebraska complained bitterly. "I can't believe our country wastes time on crap like this. The royals have green blood. If you cut them, that's what drips out on the carpet. Green. I was over to England once and saw it with my own eyes. God only knows where all this blue blood nonsense started."
Members of the royal family were unavailable for comment.
