ANKARA, Turkey (BS) - American explorers searching through the presumed wreckage of Noah's ark report finding large mounds of coprolites. This discovery is hailed as concrete evidence supporting the biblical account of creation.
The book of Genesis in the Bible states that after a flood inundated the entire Earth, the ark with its cargo of at least two of every kind of animal came to rest on Mt. Ararat in what is now Turkey.
One objection raised to the biblical account has concerned the fate of the large amounts of excrement so many animals would have produced. These new findings by scientists from the Creation Research Ark Project (CRAP) may answer some of the objections.
The confirmation of finding coprolites - the scientific term for fossilized dung - among the "boat-like" remains reported by a previous CRAP expedition would lend solid support to the biblical theory.
Independent investigators are conducting further studies to determine whether the samples were indeed left by the occupants of the ark, or merely remnants of previous creationist ventures.
