Old Ted isn't pleased with his new coupling.

West Country farmers proudly showed off their first batches of electric sheep, at the Bath and Wells Agricultural Festival this week. These 'metal moutons' were bred as part of a project run by Bio-Perversity Ltd.

These creatures actually look exactly like ordinary sheep, but have a silver-grey complexion, and wire wool. They walk, skip and gambol about just as one might expect, but are able to consume waste products as well as grass.

The advantage to this new range of android-animal stock is that they can be ordered from hardware stores and websites and delivered the following day. Currently, the sheep are only available from the Bio-Perversity website, and retail at £799 per unit. Any farmers wishing to follow this unusual course of breeding should place an order while stocks last.

Spare parts can also be purchased for each unit, together which a tailored service contract.

Now how's that for val-ewe?!

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
