(New York, NY) - Entomologists now say that they have identified the "Sleep Number" most preferred by bedbugs, according to a study backed by mattress manufacturer Select Discomfort.
The average number sought by most bedbugs (on a scale from one to one-hundred) is forty-two.
"Evidently the little critters are light sleepers with a penchant for mattresses that are slightly softer," said lead researcher Ivan Ben Dating-Anyone.
The study recommends that people who do sleep should use a Select Discomfort mattress with a setting of at least sixty to avoid regular nightly visits from bedbugs seeking to cozy up next to them.
