Boston MA: Government Motors Corporation (GMC), now out of bankruptcy, has authorized its remaining dealerships to begin marketing their new electric car, the Maxwell.
A GMC spokesperson said "The Maxwell is a real Joule. The government's "Cash for Clunkers Program" in conjunction with company discounts should allow GMC to increase sales and take back some of their lost market share."
Visiting Watt's Motors, a nearby Cambridge MA dealership, the Sales Manager a Mr. Henry described the Electric Blue (only color available) Maxwell as a marvel of electrical technology. The machine is powered by a 100 Hertz electric motor that gets 40 miles to the Ohm. The astounding mileage is due to the car's five speed Tesla transmission and the four Oersted radial tires. A Weber/Peltier heating and cooling system is factory installed. At night charging the batteries is accomplished via a wall outlet, such that the automobile has a full tank of Gauss for the morning commute.
On leaving the dealership Mr. Farad, the Service Manager mentioned the 100,000 millisecond warranty on all Maxwell parts and labor.
