As reported on NPR, Biologists have discovered a type of caterpillar that invades ants nests and by the use of sounds and chemicals are able to imitate a Queen ant.
They take up residence in the nest living totally off the slavish servitude of the worker ants. So devoted are the ants to their Queen that they will even feed the caterpillar their own offspring in lean times. This quackery eventually ruins the nest as the ants are so exhausted from work that at feeding time they are too tired to properly nourish themselves.
Meanwhile, on other fronts, social scientists studying the current economic collapse believe that many CEO's and high executives of Wall Street companies are actually giant mutant caterpillars in disguise. If you should chance upon one, try stepping on it. Even if they aren't really a mutant caterpillar, they probably deserve it anyway.
