Scientists in America have revealed that they have made a big mistake.
After borrowing the Turin Shroud for a Week to show of to the President, a Scientist's Mother washed the shroud with a lone red sock.
Needless to say, the Shroud is ruined. The shroud, said to show the face of Jesus Christ is a priceless, irreplacable relic of world value, its loss is of a major importance to the world.
Speaking to us earlier, George Bush, the president of the United States said: 'This is a catastrophe. We really should be more careful of the relics we are leant. I wanted to borrow the Crown Jewels for Laura's Birthday, but that is not going to happen now. I will not even get to borrow a Crown. It has really spoilt my day'
Historians in Turin are said to be devastated, whilst the forward thinking Tourist Information centre has started colouring in the posters, post-cards and guide books it sells with red felt tip pens.
